.: ADVICE: To My Brothers And Sisters In Islam -Mercy & Love For Allah's Sake-

When an atheist imbecile tries to insult you,
Calls you names that you obviously are not,
When a disbeliever ignorant of his idiocy
Calls a niqaabi sister “ninja” or asks if the hijaab is hot,
Or when an insecure unbeliever calls a Muslim man –
Because of his beard: “Fanatic”, “extremist” or “terrorist”
While that Muslim is a merciful human against all kinds of injustice –
And when a lunatic unbeliever comes up to you to say
That “you Muslims are weird” know that this random unbeliever
Is but an infantile mule, just learning how to bray.
And this unmannered unbeliever, oblivious to his folly,
Is too a dog inside the body of a fool, who
Loves to bark at those he envies each night and day.
So just ignore the barks of such unbelievers
Who are jealous of us for being the only ones on the right way -
For being God’s friends and insha-Allah the winners
-And they the loser unbelievers- on Judgment Day.
Also remember that the du’as of the oppressed Muslim
Will always be answered so keep calling unto Allah.
May Allah guide the ignorant and May Allah answer all our good du’as.
Ameen.

Show mercy unto the ignorant unbelievers by ignoring what they say,
For they are loaded with so much ignorance and pride of their foolishness,

They are cursed with the inability to see the right way (Islam).
Pray for their guidance, that they be free from their idiocy someday.

.: WISHES Islamic School (English Medium .:. Philippines)

Value System of WISHES Islamic School: PDF Print E-mail

The nucleus of our value system is WISDOM -- we guide our clients, students, partners and all our constituents with the following value system:
  • W - Wisdom
He (Allah) grants wisdom to whom He pleases; and he to whom wisdom is granted receives indeed a benefit overflowing; but none will grasp the Message but men of understanding. (Qur’an 2: 269)

My Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer)! Bestow wisdom (religious knowledge, right judgment of the affairs) on me, and join me with the righteous. And grant me an honorable mention in later generations. And make me one of the inheritors of the Paradise of Delight.
(Ash-Shu`ara 26:83)
  • I - Integrity
We are honest and ethical in all our relationships, starting with how we treat each other. We keep our promises and admit our mistakes. Our personal and professional conduct ensures trust.
  • S - Sacrifice and Sincerity
“Say: ‘Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death are (all) for Allâh, the Cherisher of the Worlds.’” (Qur’ân 6:162)
  • D- Dynamism
We accept our current reality and the underlying challenges, but our total quality management approach to innovative learning in a dynamic environment conforms to the basic principles of consistency, reliability, integrity and dynamism.
Verily Allah will not change the (good) condition of a people as long as they do not change their state (of goodness) themselves (by committing sins and by being ungrateful and disobedient to Allah). (Qur'an Ar-Rad 13:11)
  • O - Outstanding accomplishments
We are always delighted when we and our constituents attain excellence and perfection in our accomplishments and everything we do for the pleasure of Allah.
“…Our Rabb!   Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for You have power over all things.” (Qur’ân 66:8)
  • M - Moderation
Thus We have made you a just (moderate) Ummah that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger be a witness over you. (Al-Baqarah 2: 143)

.: ADVICE: Say "SubhaanAllah wa Bihamdih" and "AstaghfurAllah" 100 Times Everyday

Remember Allah every night and day,
Not out of 'habit' but solely for Allah's Sake,
To meet Him (Allah) while He's smiling at you on Judgment Day.

.: ADVICE: Muslims Are Strange -In That We're The Only Ones On The Right Way To Heaven

Whoever from among shaytan’s dupes (i.e. cursed atheists) believe that Muslims are weird or strange are in fact the ones who are truly strange and obnoxious for their disbelief, pathetic arrogance and obvious folly. Their envy of us Muslims always render them unseemly in their incredibly strange personality –if they got any. And their childish remarks against us peace-loving Muslims are just among the countless signs of their continuous envy and insecurity, which from us they try to hide out of pretentious pride –pride in their most absolute weirdness and stupidity.

.: POEM: I Believe In God (Allah)

I believe in God (Allah)
and know for sure that there is God,
although God –for now- I cannot see.
I believe in God’s signs around us –
Even our existence and the emotions we feel
Are among the signs that in God we must believe.
I believe that God is real just as I believe in
The ability of humans to interact and dream.
I believe that a God, and Only One God (Allah),
Is our Creator, the God and King of everyone and of every thing,
I believe that there is God just as I believe in such thing as oxygen.
I believe that a God –and Only One God (Allah) is the Master
And Designer of the whole universe and the world we live in.
I believe that if there were no god then this world would be a mess,
and if there were really no god then us human beings wouldn’t even exist.
So I believe in a God –the Only God –the Creator of you and me –
Who made this world temporal –a place of test,
To test who will believe and who choose to disbelieve.
I choose to believe and know for sure that God (Allah) is True
The One and Only God Allah –who guides only the sincere and pure,
Who see God’s signs in their surroundings, in themselves and in all that they do.

.: ADVICE: Among The Things You'll Be Asked About On Judgment Day

It was narrated that the Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said, “The two feet of the Son of Adam will not move from near his Lord on the Day of Judgement until he is asked about five (matters): about his life - how he spent it; about his youth - how he took care of it; about his wealth - how he earned it and where he spent it; and about that which he acted upon from the knowledge he acquired”.

Allah knows best. On the day of Judgment you will also be asked about five things:

1) About your life
- how did you spend your days and nights? The life God (Allah) gave you -did you spend it in worshiping Allah the way Allah wants you to worship Him (Allah) (ACCORDING TO THE QUR’AN AND PROPHET’S SUNNAH)? Did you pray to Allah as Allah has commanded you to pray to Him (Allah)? Did you know that the main purpose of your living and creation is to worship Allah? Or did you live your life sadly with disbelief and utmost disobedience?

2) About your youth -did you spend your youth in good deeds and good acts that please Allah? Did you always make sure that you associated with only the right and righteous Muslim friends? Or did you waste your youth in playing games, talking incessantly about nonsense and trying to stay up to date with the latest ‘fashion trends’? Were you among those young Muslims who loved to share Islamic advice? Or were you among those Muslims who cared more about their looks and competed with others’ hijaab and headscarf styles? Did you compete with other young Muslims in trying to do as many good deeds as you can? Or were you among those who competed in materialistic things such as buying excessive clothes each week and accessories of various brands?

3) About your wealth -did you earn your wealth through hard work? did you make sure that your wealth was always halaal/lawful? did you make sure that you didn’t owe anybody some money? and if you did borrow money, you always returned it to its owner? or were you among those who stole from others and knowingly involved themselves in forbidden ribaa/’interest’? did you spend your wealth in good deeds that bring you closer to Allah? did you waste your wealth on un-Islamic schools when there were many Islamic schools available, just because of ‘the name’, thus failing one of Allah’s tests? did you take good care of orphans with your wealth and from your wealth you loved to share? or did you waste your wealth on things to show off and put on a false display that you’re economically much ‘better’?

4) About your knowledge -your ability to think which Allah gave you -with that knowledge what did you do? What kind of knowledge did you seek? Knowledge that helped you become a better Muslim, knowledge that kept you away from feeling spiritually weak? Or knowledge which you sought just because you wanted to debate with some argumentative and debate-loving freak? Did you read about Islam everyday or at least twice a week? And whatever knowledge you have acquired, did you practice it?

5) About what you did with your knowledge -Did you share your Islamic knowledge with others for Allah’s sake? Did you teach your Muslim friends regularly about Islam so that their Iman (faith) would be kept awake? Did you speak about Islam to at least one non-Muslim friend? Did you write an Islamic article, an Islamic book or essay solely for Allah’s sake? Did you write Islamic poems or delivered Islamic speeches to prove to others that Islam is a religion of mercy, never to just debate? Or did you hide your knowledge because you wrongly thought that sharing Islamic knowledge would be showing off and people would think you’re fake? etc.

May Allah forgive our sins always. Ameen.
May Allah always accept our good deeds and May Allah make us among those who are welcome in Heaven near Him and His Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. Ameen.

.: ADVICE: Alhamdulillah For The Good Things Allah Gave Which Many Don't Recognize

So many are disbelievers,
Alhamdulillah that Allah made me Muslim.
So many are ignorant of Islam,
Alhamdulillah that I follow the Qur’an and Sunnah of the beloved and final Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.
So many commit wrongdoings and crimes against each other,
Alhamdulillah that I am not a tyrant and not an oppressor (whom many pray against day and night).

Say “SubhaanAllah wa Bihamdih” 100 times everyday for Allah’s sake,
to seek Allah’s forgiveness for any sins and mistakes we often make
and to be among the thankful ones to Allah,
to be among the successful (who are welcome in Heaven) on Judgment Day.

.: ADVICE: Allah Loves It When You Say Your Du'as

Allah loves it when you keep calling on Him (Allah),
Allah is the All-Able and Most Merciful, He can always answer your du’as.

Human beings can usually get ‘frustrated’ or even ‘angry’ if you keep asking them for favors or for help,
While Allah loves it whenever you not only pray the salahs but when you also supplicate,
the more you ask from Allah, the more you talk to Allah,
the closer you are to Allah and the more Allah will insha-Allah give-
frequently remembering Allah and saying our du’as to Allah
are among those good deeds that Allah really loves.

Allah knows best.

.: PERSONAL: 11 Things My Husband And I Have In Common

Just some 11 things my husband Nomayri and I have in common:

1) before marriage we were both 'thin', after marriage we both got fat
2) we both have played soccer/football with friends in the past. Alhamdulillah, we both know how to play soccer/football quite well :)
3) in my opinion, Alhamdulillah and Masha-Allah, we both have strong and 'melodious' voices when reciting from the Noble Qur'an and even when singing
4) we both can sometimes be serious and very hard-working
5) we both can sometimes be funny too. also Masha-Allah we both have guts :o)
6) generally we both like to help people (he's a doctor who likes to help people while back then I wanted to be a guidance counselor to offer advice to those in need, I'm still willing to help out fellow Muslims (in only what is right))
7) we are both playful (as kids and as adults) and enjoy some adventure from time to time (I remember how some time after we just got married we used to play badminton together in our garden)
8) in my teens I used to be interested in 'much older men' not guys who are the same age as me and then I got married to my husband Dr. Nomayri who's about ten years older than I am. My hubby told me once that he used to admire a female teacher who happened to be 'niqaabi' and in the future he (Alhamdulillah and Masha-Allah) got married to me, and I happen to be niqaabi. So. Alhamdulillah, we both married the kind of spouse we wanted to marry.
9) I had a brother who was born before me but he passed away. Same case with my husband. He had a sibling born before him but he/she passed away before my husband was born.
10) my husband and I can both be very 'generous' at times Alhamdulillah.
11) my husband and I enjoy bringing souvenirs to our Muslim family, friends and loved ones when coming home from travel.

Those are just some of the things my hubby and I have in common (Alhamdulillah, I was engaged to him when I was in 8th grade and he'll be the first, last and only husband I'll ever have -proof of mi loyalty). May Allah guide you, dear Dr. Nomayri, to all that He (Allah) and His Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam love which will ultimately bring you to Heaven by Allah's Will, and May Allah always bless our marriage. Ameen.

.: ADVICE: Before You Do Something Bad To Someone

Before you do something bad to someone
Think more than twice
And put yourself in that person’s shoes,
Would you like it if others did the exact same thing (your bad action) to you?
Or to a loved one or someone close to you?
Bad deeds are just evil things
that always bring bad outcomes to their evildoers
at a time God (Allah) knows is most befitting.
Allah knows best.

.: POEM: Why I love the Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam)

Why I love the Prophet Muhammad
(SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam)

If you ask me, why do I love him, the
Prophet Muhammad (May Peace be upon him) -
I love him because he cared about us
Muslims, and loving him is a condition –

If you love Allah, then love the Prophet
Muhammad – Allah loved him very much.
He was Allah’s Final Messenger, and
The hearts of many did his mercy touch.

His beautiful character makes me admire
Him – his trustworthiness and honesty –
Even before he became God’s Prophet,
Disbelievers knew that he was trustworthy.

I love the Prophet Muhammad because
Of good manners he was the best example.
I love how he was patient throughout his life
And how his morals were never skeptical.

He cared about his nation too, thus he taught
Us what we should know about our religion.
When given the chance he’d always educate,
Blessing us with advice through his companions.

As a father and grandfather, the Prophet
Muhammad was kind and tender loving.
His mercy to the poor, widows and orphans –
His good treatment of them is too astounding.

His tolerance, even to non-Muslim
Neighbors, is also something to be admired.
His mercy too was further manifest
Through his kind treatment of the slaves he hired.

As a leader – he was charismatic,
As a warrior – marked with strength and bravery,
As a family man – full of mercy,
And a husband who treated his wives fairly –

As a friend – he was accommodating –
Full of cheer, he brought smiles to people’s faces –
Respectful to the old, and kind towards the young –
Mercy was the Prophet Muhammad’s basis.

I love how he was merciful – and because
Of his mercy, he always tried to guide.
I love how he struggled to obey Allah,
And how he remained patient all through his life.

I love how he was able to do so much –
So many good deeds, despite his simple life –
How he could survive on mere dates and water,
And yet stand for long hours when praying at night.

I love how he was so thankful to Allah –
How he was always ready to sacrifice.
I love how his character was dignified –
How he was strong and gentle at the same time.

I love the patience of Prophet Muhammad –
In worshipping Allah, in fasting, and praying –
His patience in helping Muslims, and in hard times,
And how he was merciful and forgiving.

Because of my love for Prophet Muhammad,
I try to follow him – and say “you should too” –
If you truly love Allah, then love Muhammad –
Let your following him make your love more true.

O’ Allah, help us obey you, and help us
Follow Muhammad – in this world and to Heaven –
Grant us his companionship in Paradise,
And freedom to drink from his blessed fountain.

Ameen.

.: POEM: I'm a Muslim; I'm Not a "Terrorist"

I am a Muslim, I’m not a “terrorist”.
How can I be a terrorist
when I’m against all kinds of injustice.

I’m against every act of sin and evil.
I hate all kinds of crime and even loathe
what Adolf did to the Jewish people.

I hate what God hates; He (Allah) hates oppression.
I’m against stealing, against taking away
people’s belongings for no reason.

I’m against suicide bombings,
against racism, against ignorance,
against self-harm and even derision.

What God hates I hate and God hates
oppression. I hate it too when people fight
for foolish nationalistic reasons.

I’m a Muslim; I follow the true religion
of mercy from Allah the Most Merciful
Who simply wants us to answer His Call
to believe in Just One -Just One God of all.

So don’t call me a “terrorist” when I clearly
don’t have a ‘mass destruction’ weapon
and my goal in life is to
be with our God (Allah) in Heaven.

.: ADVICE: Two Kinds Of People Who Receive Your Gifts

The more you thank Allah the more Allah gives.

Remember that Allah may not always give you what you want or what you ask for but He (Allah) always gives you what you truly need.

Among the things that Allah can give to His servants is His mercy and guidance to good deeds that can lead to Heaven insha-Allah.

May Allah the Most Merciful always forgive our sins and May Allah make us among His grateful servants whom He loves and whom He will welcome in Heaven near Him and His Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. Ameen.

Thanking others is not only good character, but is a sign that you are a true Muslim servant of Allah who is grateful to Him.

He/she who does not thank people does not really thank our God and Creator Allah.

Allah knows best.

.: POEM: What Makes A True Friend?

What are the qualities that a friend should
have – that which would make a true friend so true?
A friend is one whom you like to be with
while a true friend insists on being with you.

A friend likes you when you have so much in
common. True friends like you who for who you are.
True friends make you feel as though they are at
all times near, although they are very far.

A true friend is one whom you can always
talk to, even at night when it is late -
when loved ones are asleep, a true friend is
always there to hear what you have to say.

Friends like to share, but a true friend always
gives you – not what you want, but what you need.
The feelings you hide, as well as your thoughts,
and your dreams, a true friend can always read.

A friend may forgive you or they may not
forgive, for something wrong you've done to them.
A true friend forgives even when you don't
ask. True friends forgive - again and again.

Friends are close when you are close to them. A
true friend wants your friendship to be closer.
A true friend does what is best for you, and
hates that you would end up with the losers.

A true friend teaches you lessons to help
you grow – lessons that are hard and easy.
A true friend is always there - having a
true friend can never make you feel lonely.

Friends may sometimes make mistakes, but a true
friend is always careful not to hurt you.
A true friend is a guide and a teacher.
A true friend knows everything you go through.

The true friend I mention is our God,
who kept you company before you were born.
The friendship of God, if you truly keep
and cherish, you will never feel forlorn.

The true friend we all need is God (Allah) –
the One who guides and can teach us lessons,
the One who hears our calls and understands,
the One always near – in every season –

Allah, as a Friend, never judges us
by the way we look and how we appear.
Allah, as a Guide, if we ask Him for
guidance, He guides us and makes our paths clear.

Allah is with us – each day and each night –
He is always there when all are asleep.
Allah always listens when others don't.
He gives you comfort when He sees you weep.

Fortunate are those who have Allah as
a Friend. Friendship with God is friendship true.
May Allah bless me with His Friendship and
May Allah's Friendship be shared with you too.

Ameen.

    Allah knows best.

.: ADVICE: Beautiful Du'as To Say As Muslim Guests

One of the signs of a true friend is that they not only like you and care for you but they also honor and like the ones you cherish/love, such as your family. Likewise, If you really love Allah, then you would try your best to show your love at all times to His beloved Messenger Muhammad (SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam) by regularly following his Sunnah/tradition, for the sake of Allah.

Allah knows best. It is a Sunnah to always pray for the host, as their Muslim guest, or for the one who feeds you for Allah's sake. So when someone offers you something to eat or drink and gives you food or some drinks, even a glass of water, it is good manners to pray for them, saying:

In Arabic:
"Allahumma At'em man at'amany wasqi man saqaani. Ameen."

Its English meaning:
"O' Allah, give food to the one who gave me food, and give drink to the one who gave me drink. Amen."

There are a few occasions when a host serves you food in a way that you may think is 'extravagant' or 'too much', that sometimes you feel so obliged to return their extreme generosity and favors. To do that you can insha-Allah say a sincere du'a for them:

In Arabic:
"Allahumma baarik lahum feema razaqtahum, waghfur lahum warhamhum. Ameen."

Its English meaning:
"O' Allah, bless them in what You (Allah) have provided for them, and forgive them and have mercy on them. Amen."

Saying the above du'a/supplications is very much similar to praying,
"O' Allah (God), whoever gives me food, give them food;
whoever gives me drink, give them drink;
whoever shows kindness and mercy to me, be Kind to them too and be Always Merciful;
whoever makes me smile, bless their days with smiles;
whoever does good to me, O' Allah do good to them too."
Allah knows best.

TIP: When supplicating or making du'a (whether your du'a is for yourself, for a brother/sister-in-Islam, or for all Muslims) you don't have to say your du'as loudly so that others can hear what you're saying. Allah is the All-Knowing and All-Hearing who knows your innermost thoughts and feelings. So you don't have to be all "I want to make du'a for my hosts but I'm shy that they might hear me or if they hear me supplicating for them they might think I'm showing off."

Also, keep in mind that whenever you sincerely pray for a fellow Muslim, an angel near you always says something like 'for you likewise' meaning, the good du'a you prayed for your Muslim brother/sister will also be returned to you. Allah knows best.

.: POEM: Some Advice From Wife To Her Husband

Ten Words Of Advice
From Your Wifey

(To Dr. Nomayri Mababaya)
(poem written on the spot)

Salaam,

A quick poem to my loving hubby,
Some words of advice to love Nomayri,

Love is not just physical but love is caring,
A strong emotion felt by the truly daring,

Who love also for the sake of Allah (our God),
Who made us to worship Him without any fraud,

1) Fear Allah and know that God is True,
2) God wants you to be with Him (in Heaven), me and you,

So obey His Laws though some may be hard,
Do what He commands -of good deeds- Sunnah and Fard,

3) Always pray on time, especially the Fajr prayer,
So that your salahs can defend you in the Life After,

4) Make sure that your soul is always clean,
Free of things that God hates and which only demean,

5) If you want to pass any exam, big or small,
Study your notes, the good you've learned -learn them all,

6) Should you miss out on something you've always wanted,
Know that Allah's love is what you should want most granted,

7) If you have God, the opinions of the world don't matter,
Anyone hated by God will always end up a loser,

8) Know that God (Allah) wants to see you happy,
So if you walk through tough days it's a way to purity,

Purity of your soul, freeing it from every sin,
To guide you to Allah and be more closer to Him,

9) A Du'a: May Allah guide you, baby Nomayri, to Iman,
Strong faith and wisdom, and good thoughts of 'you can',

May Allah's curse be on those spies of jinns and jealous men,
Who want us divided, and are found plotting now and then,

Ameen. 10) If I did you any wrong, babynoma, please forgive,
May Allah grant you a good life that He wants you to live,

May Allah enable you to tell what's right from what is wrong,
May Allah make your heart soft and your Iman more strong,

Ameen. From your wife Mariam who stayed loyal always,
Who mentioned you in her du'as many nights and days.

Because of my loyalty,
May you, Dr. Nomayri, always be the first, last and only husband I will ever have.
Ameen.
Love,
Mariam Mababaya
